Agiorgitiko [ah yor yee' ti ko], aka "the blood of Hercules," is the deeply colored, fragrant, and fruity red wine of Nemea, Greece's largest wine region. The wines have soft tannins and tend to be lower in acidity, making them somewhat difficult to pair with food.

They are best served with milder ingredients and a touch of added acidity, such as a squeeze of lemon.
