Choose the main ingredient in your meal. This is the most important factor we use in selecting optimal wines for your meal.

Select up to two traits that accurately describe your meal. Use the two sliders to describe the weight and flavor depth your meal.

Choose any ingredients (up to four) that strongly flavor your meal.

You are now viewing a "cloud" of wine styles which WineToMatch has chosen to complement the meal you described. The styles of wines shown in larger font are better matches for your meal than those in small font. IMPORTANT: All the wines shown--even those in small fonts--were selected as appropriate pairings for your meal from among the wines covered by WineToMatch.

Click on any of the results to learn more about that style of wine, and to see bottles chosen by WineToMatch as excellent representations of that type of wine.

Use the app to bring the experience and education of a certified Master Sommerlier with you to the wine shop, gourmet grocery store, supermarket or your favorite neighborhood restaurant. UPDATE July 4, 2009
APPROVED!!! Our iPhone application has been approved for sale on iTunes! We are proud to announce that we were accepted by Apple on our first attempt. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this project. It will be another couple of days before it is available for download. We will announce as soon as it is available for download.
UPDATE June 23, 2009
Our iPhone application has been submitted to Apple for approval. Reviews by the App Store team take approximately 1 week for each resubmittal. So with any luck we will be available for download within the next couple of weeks.
In the meantime, I’m posting a few screenshots of our app in action. As you figure out when you examine the shots, there’s virtually no sacrifice in capability when going from the web application in a modern browser to the iPhone application.
We’ll keep updating this post as our app makes its way through the approval process. We’re confident that it was well designed and coded, so hopefully in just a matter of days you’ll be able to take the full wine pairing capabilities of WineToMatch with you to grocery stores, wine shops and that great family-owned restaurant in your neighborhood…you know, the one with the impressive but slightly intimidating wine list…we hope to help you find the hidden gems of their selection!
